The Montclair Railroad Trail was built on the rail bed of the historic Sacramento Railway, whose trains ran between the Sacramento Valley and the East Bay. Today, the City of Oakland’s Montclair RR Trail Park provides a beautiful natural setting for hiking, bicycling and dog walking, with access to and from the Montclair Village, and the residential neighborhoods of Shepherd Canyon and Montclair.
